REFLECTION
Process: The process in making this video essay took a fairly long time. We spent most of our time planning for the video and researched on what parts we would use to achieve our goal. Our question was, "What is the definition of love based on Shakespeare?" Working as a group was good as we were all able to collaborate and put in many good ideas. Of course during the process, there were times when we were off task or working on something else. We could have done a much better job on this video essay.
Product: I like the editing done to the product (by Tori) and the connections to Twilight. We accomplished this by constant reading on the topic and picking out parts that would help to truly define what love was. Also the making of this video was very fun and I had a great time with my group members.
Growth: This assignment helped to push my abilities by making me work in a large group. Getting ideas in a large group can be very difficult at times because they are not always on task. However, I felt that our group was able to successfully communicate most of the time and we did not get into any arguments. I learned that being in a group can be hard but it also helps us to be better writers as we can collaborate on thoughts and ideas and get better understanding of the play. I learned a lot more about the meaning of love in Romeo and Juliet through the group's discussions.
Improvement: I want to improve in acting in videos. I feel that I'm not a very good actor and I should try practicing and become more confident in front of cameras. Also I want to improve on being a better a group member. There were times that I didn't stay on task or I didn't try to bring the group back to being on task. I want to be a better member by helping everyone to reach our goal and not leaving anyone out.
